A man takes a long knife out of a cloth bag and furiously starts attacking a nurse at a hospital, shows a horrifying video which is now in wide circulation on social media. The incident happened in Karnataka's Belagavi town almost a month ago on October 30. However, the video of the act has emerged online only recently.  As the man, with a surgical mask on, catches the nurse unawares and attacks her with a big knife, she immediately defends herself and manages to get hold of the attacker's hand, shows the video. In a significant development in West Asia, Israel has agreed to a ceasefire with Lebanon. The agreement comes into effect at midnight (Israel time) on November 27. Israel's Security Cabinet, the country's top decision-making body under the government has reportedly agreed to the ceasefire, news agency Reuters reported. NATO pledged support for Ukraine at talks in Brussels Tuesday after Russia's attempt to "intimidate" Kyiv's backers by firing an experimental hypersonic intermediate-range missile last week.  Russia on Thursday carried out a strike on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro which President Vladimir Putin said was a test of its new Oreshnik missile. Putin said the missile attack was in response to Ukraine firing weapons supplied by the United States and Britain into Russia. Dr Shriram Singh, 58, a native of Gonda was gunned down in Georgia capital Atlanta on Wednesday. The Centre's pollution watchdog on Wednesday revised the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), mandating the closure of schools in Delhi and NCR districts under Stages 3 and 4 of the plan. Previously, the decision to implement these measures was left to the discretion of the state governments. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) in NCR and adjoining areas on Wednesday revised the GRAP, mandating the closure of schools in Delhi and the NCR districts of Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddh Nagar under Stages 3 and 4. An additional directive under Stage 3 of the GRAP now requires the state governments to stagger the timings of public offices and municipal bodies in Delhi and the aforementioned NCR districts.
